Abstract
Visualization techniques are employed to contribute to the understanding of the mechanisms responsible for heat and mass flow between the water basin and the condensing cover inside a shallow solar still. Laser sheets and tracers were employed to record images, where the dominant nature of convection in cell patterns was observed.
