Zusammenfassung
Die Migräne ist der Kopfschmerz, der am häufigsten zum Arzt führt. Auch beim Augenarzt stellen sich sehr oft Patienten mit dieser Diagnose vor. Die Diagnose Migräne lässt sich in sehr vielen Fällen allein nach einer gezielten Anamnese stellen. Zu beachten sind die Begleitsymptome, insbesondere auch die Aura, die den Patienten nicht selten zum Augenarzt führt. Zur Therapie gibt es gut ausgearbeitete Schemata. Leider bleiben dennoch viele Patienten ohne korrekte Diagnose und ohne adäquate Therapie. Zahlreiche Mythen und Halbwahrheiten kursieren um die Migräne. Der vorliegende Beitrag soll dem Augenarzt einen Überblick verschaffen.
Abstract
Migraine is the most frequent cause of headache in patients seeking medical advice. Even ophthalmologists are frequently confronted with this diagnosis. In many cases a diagnosis can be easily established by a targeted patient history. Accompanying symptoms deserve attention, especially the aura which often leads patients directly to the ophthalmologist. Concerning migraine therapy well-established guidelines exist but despite this many patients remain undiagnosed and inadequately treated. Many myths and half-truths are associated with migraine headache. This article aims to give an overview for ophthalmologists.
