Zusammenfassung

Für die Exenteratio orbitae, indiziert zumeist wegen einer Neoplasie, stehen 4 verschiedene chirurgische Verfahren zur Verfügung. Auch für die Rekonstruktion gibt es unterschiedliche Methoden. In der postoperativen Behandlung spielt die epithetische Versorgung, deren Möglichkeiten an Fallbeispielen illustriert werden, eine herausragende Rolle. Die vorgesehene epithetische Versorgung ist bereits bei der Operationsplanung und Durchführung zu berücksichtigen.

Abstract

Various procedures are available for orbital exenteration, mostly for neoplastic disorders, as well as for reconstructive surgery. Within the context of postoperative care prosthetic rehabilitation plays an important role. The specific form of planned epithetic replacement must already be considered in the design of the surgical procedure.
