Bilateral disc-like corneal opacity before cataract extraction

Zusammenfassung

Ein 81-jähriger Patient stellte sich zur Kataraktextraktion am zweiten, rechten Auge vor. Nebenbefundlich zeigte sich eine bilaterale, scheibenförmige Hornhauttrübung, die als zentral-wolkenförmige Hornhautdystrophie François gedeutet wurde. Das seltene, klinisch unproblematische Krankheitsbild wird vorgestellt.

Abstract

An 81-year-old patient presented for cataract extraction of the right eye. In addition a bilateral disc-like corneal opacity was present which was classified as central cloudy corneal dystrophy of François. This rare and clinically unproblematic condition will be discussed.
