Zusammenfassung
Die blickinduzierte Amaurose ist ein bisher sehr selten beschriebenes Phänomen. Unser Fall eines 37-jährigen Patienten zeigt eine durch einen Orbitatumor ausgelöste blickinduzierte einseitige Amaurosis fugax. Ursächlich kam es wahrscheinlich zu kurzzeitigen Durchblutungsstörungen der Zentralarterie oder Behinderungen des axonalen Transports des Sehnervs durch dessen Kompression. Obwohl die atypische Amaurosis fugax sehr selten auftritt, sollte die Differenzialdiagnose einer orbitalen Raumforderung nicht außer Acht gelassen werden.
Abstract
Gaze-evoked amaurosis is a quite unique symptom. We present a 37-year-old patient with unilateral gaze-evoked amaurosis caused by an orbital tumor. Possible mechanisms include transient ischemia of the optic nerve and the retina or inhibition of the axonal impulses. While not common as a cause of amaurosis fugax, an orbital mass should be considered in the differential diagnosis of gaze-evoked atypical monocular amaurosis fugax.
