Zusammenfassung

Schielstellungen und Motilitätsstörungen der Augen können in vielfältiger Weise mit intraokularen Erkrankungen und Störungen der Lider und der Orbita gemeinsam auftreten. Vor einer möglichen kombinierten Operation der Augenmuskeln und der Adnexen oder einer Kombination mit intraokularen Eingriffen ist die Indikation unter verschiedenen funktionellen Aspekten zu betrachten. Nur so lassen sich unnötige Eingriffe vermeiden und die Dosierung der einzelnen Operationen richtig wählen. Außerdem lässt sich das Doppelbildrisiko minimieren, um so letztendlich für den Patienten das günstigste Operationsergebnis zu erzielen.

Abstract

Strabismus and motility disorders of the eye can be linked in many different ways to intraocular diseases and disorders of the lid and orbit. Different functional aspects have to be considered before performing combined eye muscle and intraocular or adnexal surgery. This allows to avoide unnecessary operations, to choose the right dosage of the operation, to limit the risk of diplopia, and finally to achieve a satisfying result for the patient.
