Abstract.

A stable, free-running LiF:F3 and LiF:F2 color center laser oscillation is achieved at room temperature by pumping with the 930-nm laser radiation. The LiF:F3 laser radiation has a peak at 1100 nm and shifts from the peak wavelength of the F3 luminescence band because of the absorption of the F3 luminescence by the F2 center, which co-exists with the F3 center.
