High-order harmonic generation in absorbing, dispersive, and ionizing media

Abstract.

Experimental and theoretical investigations of high-order harmonic generation in absorbing, dispersive, and ionizing media are reported. All factors limiting the high-order harmonic generation efficiency are taken into account. Good agreement between calculations and experimental results is obtained.
