and H+ ions. Photothermal deflection spectroscopy (PDS) technique was used to record the absorption spectrum in the wavelength range 1.20 μm to 2.0 μm. The evolution of the various overtone and combination bands occurring in this range has been related to the changes taking place in the polystyrene structure.
