Abstract
In this paper, we present a method for hiding large spheres. Our proposed coating can make a significant reduction in backscattering cross section of an electrically large sphere. Since the monostatic radar cross section (RCS) is based on backscatter waves, such a coated sphere cannot be detected by this kind of radars. Also the effect of loss is considered in coating and we prove that even with a lossy coating, transparency is achievable in front of monostatic radars.
