Abstract
CuS nanorods with an average diameter of 100 nm were successfully prepared at ambient conditions via a novel template-free route in a simple system containing CuSO4, Na2S2O3, thioglycerol and H2O. Thioglycerol was found to dramatically catalyze the hydrolysis of Na2S2O3 and the formation of CuS nanorods.
