Gesichtsschmerz aus Sicht der Kieferorthopädie

Zusammenfassung

Das kraniomandibuläre System (CMS) ist unmittelbar mit dem kraniozervikalen System (CCS) und dem kraniosakralen System (CSS) verbunden. Die neuronalen Verbindungen des N. trigeminus zeigen die Zusammenhänge der Kiefergelenke mit anderen Strukturen auf. In der Diagnose werden Techniken der manuellen Medizin und der “applied kinesiology” (AK) neben der üblichen Kiefergelenk- und Okklusionsdiagnostik angewendet. Eine Kasuistik zeigt einen Ausschnitt der kieferorthopädischen Kiefergelenk- und Okklusionstherapie.

Abstract

The craniomandibular system (CMS) is directly connected to the craniocervical system (CCS) and the craniosacral system (CSS). The neuronal connections of the trigeminal nerve illustrate the relationship of the mandibular joint with other structures. In the diagnosis manual medicine and applied kinesiology (AK) techniques are used, as well as the usual mandibular joint and occlusion diagnosis techniques. A case history shows part of mandibular orthopedic and occusion therapy.
