Abstract

The elbow joint plays an important role in everyday physiotherapeutic treatment. Its need to be included into the therapeutic concept may either relate to this joint as the primary source of disease or as part of a related chain of symptoms. Manual therapy is of particular importance in the various physiotherapeutic treatment options for functional improvement. This article outlines the advances which have been made in manual therapy and proven in practice. It may therefore be considered as an encouragement, while keeping in mind the need to consider individual circumstances.
