A pre-metallocene single-site catalyst for olefin polymerization: the V(acac)3 – Ali-Bu2Cl system

Abstract

A combination of GPC, DSC, and 13C NMR data for an ethylene/1-hexene copolymer prepared with the V(acac)3 - Ali-Bu2Cl system at 5 °C shows that this catalyst system was one of the earliest pre-metallocene catalysts for olefin polymerization.
