Zusammenfassung

Um desktopartige Anwendungen im Web zu realisieren, wird zunehmend AJAX eingesetzt. Zusätzlich etablieren sich neue Beschreibungssprachen wie XUL oder XAML, mit denen sich schnell und effizient Benutzeroberflächen für das Web erstellen lassen. Selbst Vektorgrafiken können mit Hilfe von SVG ohne Plug-ins in Webseiten integriert werden. Diese Technologien können gewinnbringend kombiniert werden. Zur Beherrschung der Komplexität werden Methoden des Software-Engineerings eingesetzt.
