Zur Fokusformulierung für Patienten mit körperlichem Leitsymptom

Zusammenfassung

Die Bedeutung des Körpersymptoms sowie der Umgang mit ihm ist in der Psychotherapie zunehmend in den Mittelpunkt des Interesses gerückt nach langer Zeit relativer und oft hilfloser Vernachlässigung. Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt ein Fokaltherapiekonzept vor, in dem das Körpersymptom als individuelle körperliche Reaktion auf Beziehungserleben und intrapsychische Konflikte verstanden wird. Die psychodynamische Diagnostik und die Erarbeitung des Behandlungsfokus werden dargestellt. Der Fokus stellt den bei den Patienten nicht erlebten Zusammenhang zwischen Körpersymptom und dem oft unbewußten dominanten Affekt im zentralen Beziehungskonflikt her.

Summary

The psychodynamic function and the handling of somatic symptoms in psychotherapy have become a center of interest, having been neglected for a long time. This paper presents a concept of focal psychotherapy, which takes the somatic symptom as an individual response of the body to the experience of relationships and to inner conflicts. The psychodynamic diagnostic process and the formulation of the focus is described. The focus makes the link the patient has not been able to make, between the somatic symptom and the dominant affect in the central relationship conflict.
