Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Die Entwicklung therapeutischer Fertigkeiten ist eine wesentliche therapeutenbezogene Variable, die vor dem Hintergrund des derzeit vermehrt diskutierten Themas therapeutischer Misserfolge und Therapieabbrüche besondere Aufmerksamkeit verdient.

Ziel der Studie

Die Studie untersuchte, ob der Einsatz von Simulationspatienten (SP) in der Ausbildung von Psychotherapeuten zu einem Zuwachs an therapeutischen Fertigkeiten führen kann.

Material und Methoden

Der Einsatz von SP (16 Lehreinheiten) wurde im Prä-post-Vergleich an 29 Ausbildungsteilnehmern (ATN) für Kinder- und Jugendlichenpsychotherapie aus 3 Perspektiven analysiert: aus Sicht der SP, der ATN und von Fremdbeurteilern.

Ergebnisse

Die Arbeit mit SP in der Psychotherapieausbildung führt zu einem bedeutsamen Zuwachs therapeutischer Fertigkeiten. Es bedarf allerdings weiterer Forschung, um zu überprüfen, ob diese Lehrmethode effektiver ist als andere Lehrkonzepte, ob sie zu langfristigen Veränderungen der therapeutischen Fertigkeiten beiträgt und inwiefern die Ergebnisse auch auf andere therapeutische Kontexte (außer Exploration) übertragen werden können.

Abstract

Background

The development of therapeutic skills is an essential therapist-related variable that deserves special attention in the context of the currently increasingly discussed topic of therapeutic failures and discontinuation of therapy.

Aim

The study investigated whether the use of simulated patients (SP) in the training of psychotherapists can lead to an increase in therapeutic skills.

Material and methods

The use of SP (16 teaching units) was tested in a pre-post comparison with 29 training participants for child and adolescent therapy and analyzed from three perspectives: from the perspective of the SP, the training of participants and rater.

Results

The work with SP in psychotherapy training leads to a significant increase in therapeutic skills; however, it requires further research to see if this teaching method is more effective than other approaches to teaching, whether it contributes to long-term changes in therapeutic skills and to what extent the results can be transferred to other therapeutic contexts (except exploration).
