We are pleased to announce that Linwah Yip, MD will serve as the next associate editor for endocrine surgery submissions at the World Journal of Surgery. In this role, she will represent the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES). Dr Yip has served on our WJS editorial board for 3 years.

Dr Yip is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh in the USA, where she also holds a secondary appointment with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Her research and clinical interests include the management of indeterminate thyroid nodules and the extent of surgery for thyroid cancer, surgical management of adrenal disease, and optimizing patient-related outcomes for primary hyperparathyroidism. She is the program director for the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship and Co-Chief of the Division of Endocrine Surgery.

Dr Yip will be replacing Dr Janice Pasieka of Calgary, Canada, who served in editorial leadership for eight years at WJS. Welcome Dr Yip, and thank you Dr Pasieka for your faithful service!
