Abstract.

A technique to facilitate correct preoperative marking for an en bloc resection in superiorly based mammaplasty is presented. A temporary triangular suture is placed to control the estimated resection lines for the removal of the medial and lateral tissue block. The described technique helps to avoid the formation of medial and lateral dog ears and the unpleasant and visible scars that result.
