Commencing with this issue, Skeletal Radiology has two new features: “Perspective” and “Browser’s Notes”.

Perspectives are commentaries of 650–900 words on a broad range of subjects that cover musculo-skeletal science, education and practice. Members of the Editorial Board will solicit or contribute these commentaries. We also invite authors and readers of the journal to contribute their own commentaries on some aspect of musculo-skeletal science or practice. In addition to not exceeding 900 words, the number of references should be limited and the commentaries should be free of illustrations. In instances where the purpose of the commentary is a dynamic imaging study or where illustrations are indispensable, electronic supplementary material will be published together with the online version of the Perspective in SpringerLink. Those interested in providing such a commentary should submit their manuscript to https://doi.org/www.mc.manuscriptcentral.com/skeletalradiology, indicating that it is a Perspective.

Browser’s Notes are synopses, provided by the Editors, of articles from non-imaging journals that we hope will be of interest to the readership of Skeletal Radiology.

Since the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has ceased to publish listings of key words, authors should pick their key words exclusively from the database of Medical Subject Headings, MeSH, of the National Library of Medicine: https://doi.org/www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html. This will ensure that their work is recognized by PubMed and MEDLINE.
