This 52-year-old man underwent brain imaging for an unrelated condition. The CT revealed a large fatty deposit (−69HU) extending along the straight sinus into the confluence of the sinuses, the superior sagittal sinus and into the proximal transverse sinuses. The subsequent MRI confirmed this deposit to have the characteristics of fat, with a high signal on T1, intermediate signal on T2 and suppression of its signal on the fat-saturated sequences.
