Final state interaction as the main mechanism of double hole creation in atomic K shells during electromagnetic nuclear decays

Abstract

It is shown that the account for final state interactions between the two electrons ejected from the atomic K shell during electromagnetic transitions of nucleons removes the existing discrepancy between theoretical predictions and experimental data.
