Abstract

Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has received extensive attention from scholars at home and abroad in recent years due to its high security and flexibility. However, different types of WPT receiving coils are often only suitable for specific transmitting coils, resulting in poor system interoperability. From the perspective of improving the coupling mechanism interoperability for the WPT system, this paper designs a new type of coupling mechanism and an adapted circuit topology. The transmitting coil of the coupling mechanism adopts a combined structure. Two sets of perpendicular DD coils are arranged inside the rectangular coil can generate an excitation magnetic field in three dimensions, which is adapted to various receiving coils on UAVs. In addition, using S-S and LCC-S compensation topologies, the constant current and constant voltage process switching of battery charging is realized. The feasibility of the proposed coupling mechanism and switchable topology is verified by a 100 W laboratory prototype.
