Zwei plötzliche Todesfälle bei chronischer Obstipation

Two cases of sudden death following chronic constipation

Zusammenfassung

Eine 25-jährige Frau mit Asperger-Syndrom und eine 27-jährige Frau mit einem Sotos-Syndrom litten an einer chronischen Obstipation und verstarben plötzlich. Bei der äußeren Besichtigung fielen in beiden Fällen massiv geblähte Bauchdecken auf. Die nachfolgenden computertomographischen Untersuchungen sowie die Sektionen zeigten große Kotsteine, die auf zwei unterschiedliche Weisen zum Tode führten.

Abstract

A 25-year-old woman with Asperger syndrome and a 27-year-old woman with Sotos syndrome suffered from chronic constipation and died suddenly. In both cases the extended abdominal wall was conspicuous. The subsequent postmortem computed tomography scans and the autopsies revealed giant fecalomas, which led to death in two different ways.

  1. Die Sektion fand im Auftrag der Angehörigen 11 Tage nach dem Versterben statt. Eine postmortale Computertomographie wurde nicht durchgeführt.
