Abstract

In this paper, a new hot-line robot that can sweep post insulators at high voltage is introduced. Working at high-voltage, the robot had to be designed specially because there was no similar one before. To ensure insulation, we use methods of insulated elevating scissors mechanism, insulated hydraulic system, two-level control system, fiber optic and wireless communication system, etc. The robot integrates technologies of insulation at high-voltage, hydraulic driving, insulated material, wireless communication, vision, autocontrol, etc.
