Digitale Bilddokumentation in der Arthroskopie

Hintergrund: Der vorliegende Übersichtsartikel stellt einige der Möglichkeiten der digitalen Bilddokumentation während der Arthroskopie vor. Sowohl zur Dokumentation als auch für klinische Studien erlangt die Bilddokumentation zunehmende Bedeutung. Die technischen Grundlagen Bild verarbeitender digitaler Systeme sowie verschiedene Begriffe aus der Informationstechnik werden für den „IT-Neuling“übersetzt und erklärt. Diskussion: Schließlich werden die Vor- und Nachteile einiger der zurzeit zur Verfügung stehenden Systeme aus der Sicht eines arthroskopisch tätigen Kollegen dargestellt.

Background: Digital recording of intraoperative findings during arthroscopy is gaining increasing importance, mainly for documentary reasons, but also for the purposes of clinical follow-up studies. The technical basics of different digital imaging systems and commonly used terms in computer science are explained, especially for newcomers to this field. Discussion: The article concludes with a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of currently available systems from the practical point of view of surgeons who frequently perform arthroscopies.
