Abstract

Endoscopic gastrocnemius recession is a minimally invasive technique to treat gastrocnemius equinus. Smaller incisions and the ability to perform the procedure with the patient in the supine position are the advantages. Several studies have shown an increase in ankle dorsiflexion of 13–20° by endoscopic gastrocnemius recession. In the following article the endoscopic technique of gastrocnemius recession is presented.
