In memory of my partner Brian Kavanagh
We held hands at first for a long time
Then we kissed
Then we held each other
In search of that hold where we could feel the most of one another’s skin
And then holding was hard because of the pain
And kissing was difficult because of shortness of breath
We are left holding hands
And a love that was and is so immense
