Supplementary material 1 (AVI 119524 kb). Mid-esophageal four chamber view. At 0°, the imaging plane is directed anteriorly from the esophagus through the heart, and the patient’s right side is presented on the left of the image display. Numerous trabeculations and deep recesses are appreciable in the mid-ventricular and apical segments of the left ventricle
134_2019_5737_MOESM2_ESM.avi
Supplementary material 2 (AVI 25951 kb). Deep transgastric apical short-axis view of the left ventricle. Its possible to appreciate the visual differentiation of the characteristic two-layered structure consisting of a compacted outer (epicardial) layer and a thick, non-compacted inner (endocardial) layer. Color-Doppler ultrasonography shows prominent trabeculations with deep recesses communicating with the cavity of the left ventricle (empting and filling with blood)
