Erratum to: Intensive Care Med DOI 10.1007/s00134-015-3907-x
Table 1 in this editorial contains an error: it mistakenly lists intensive care medicine (ICM) in Spain as a primary specialty alone yet having a dual final qualification. The correct situation is that ICM exists as both a primary specialty and as a subspecialty of anaesthesia. The authors would like to apologise for this error and any inconvenience caused.
