Sekundäre synoviale Chondromatose des oberen Sprunggelenks

Zusammenfassung

Die synoviale Chondromatose des oberen Sprunggelenks (OSG) ist selten, insbesondere die sekundäre Form. Gerade jedoch in Hinblick auf ihre mögliche traumatische Genese sollte sie in der unfallchirurgisch und orthopädischen Praxis nicht ganz außer Acht gelassen werden. Neben der konventionellen Röntgendiagnostik gibt die magnetresonanztomographische Untersuchung erste Hinweise, beweisend ist jedoch erst die histopathologische Untersuchung. Der hier dargestellte Fall zeigt die Notwendigkeit der weiteren Differenzierung, auch im Hinblick auf einen fraglichen Zusammenhang mit einem bestimmten Unfallereignis.

Abstract

Synovial chondromatosis of the ankle is a rare condition, particularly secondary chondromatosis. In view of a possible traumatic pathogenesis, chondromatosis should be kept in mind in daily trauma and orthopedics practice. Diagnostic imaging gives a first indication. The key to differentiating between the primary and secondary forms is histological identification. This case shows the necessity of exact differentiation, even in cases of a causal link with a specific injury.
