Zusammenfassung

Die standardisierte Untersuchung der Tibialis-posterior-Sehne mittels hochauflösender Ultraschalltechnik mit Vermessung des Sehnenquerschnitts kann den klinischen Verdacht einer Tibialis-posterior-Dysfunktion bestätigen oder ausschließen. Die hochauflösende Sonographie erscheint in dieser Fragestellung diagnostisch gleich aussagekräftig wie die MRT.

Abstract

Standardized sonographic delineation of the posterior tibial tendon using high-frequency ultrasonography with quantitative evaluation of the transverse section may confirm or exclude the clinical suspicion of posterior tibial tendon dysfunction and can serve as a complement to magnetic resonance imaging.
