Zusammenfassung
Lebende Mikroorganismen, darunter das Hepatitis-E-Virus, Listerien, Toxoplasmen und eine Reihe anderer Erreger, in diversen Nahrungsmitteln sind in der Lage, eine Schwangere zu infizieren. Können diese Erreger die Plazentabarriere überwinden, kann auch der Fetus direkt betroffen sein. Darüber hinaus besteht ein Risiko für die Gesundheit der Mutter und des Kindes durch diverse Mykotoxine, wie etwa Ochratoxin, Fumonisin, Aflatoxin und Zearalenon, in Lebensmitteln pflanzlichen sowie tierischen Ursprungs.
Abstract
Living microorganisms, such as hepatitis E virus, Listeria, toxoplasmas as well as a few others, in food items are able to induce infection in pregnant women. In case that these pathogens are able to cross the placental barrier, the fetus may also be endangered directly. Furthermore, there is a health risk associated with several mycotoxins (e.g. ochratoxin, fumonisin, aflatoxin and zearalenone), which are present in food items of vegetable as well as animal origin.
