Abstract

This article presents the main symptoms of the most important gynecological emergency situations as well as atypical and rarer manifestations. Following rapid recognition it is often essential that therapy and monitoring measures are initiated as soon as possible and these are also presented in detail. This also applies to interventions which are necessary for prevention of long-term consequences or secondary diseases (e.g. anti-D prophylaxis in Rhesus negative patients after abortion and extrauterine pregnancy).
