Abstract

We report the case of a 27-year-old nulliparous with elevated ß-HCG levels after two curettages following an incomplete abortion. A high risk choriocarcinoma was diagnosed. After 13 cycles of methotrexate the ß-HCG level was under the detection limit, however, transvaginal sonography showed a highly vascularized uterine tumor. Operative hysteroscopy was performed but the pathological findings showed only amorphous necrotic tissue without viable cells.
