Die European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) arbeitet daran, eine Harmonisierung sowohl hinsichtlich der Dauer und des Inhalts der medizinischen Ausbildung als auch der Praxis der einzelnen Disziplinen in der Europäischen Union (EU) herbeizuführen. Sie definiert in Zusammenarbeit mit Spezialistengremien die Bedingungen für eine qualitativ hochwertige Weiterbildung.

Abstract

The purpose of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) is harmonization of the duration and the content of medical education as well as of medical specialist practice in the European Union (EU). The UEMS defines the conditions of high-quality education in cooperation with specialist committees.
