Complete urethral duplication with dorsal epispadiac urethra

Zusammenfassung

Die Urethra duplex stellt eine seltene angeborene Fehlbildung der Harnröhre dar. Im dargestellten Fall handelt es sich um eine komplette Urethra duplex mit 2 funktionalen Sphinkteren. Die Mündung der akzessorischen Urethra lag epispad, und die Miktion erfolgte lediglich über diese Harnröhre, sodass der Befund zunächst als Epispadie fehlgedeutet wurde. Intraoperativ wurden beide Harnröhren erhalten, lediglich distal wurden sie in einem Neomeatus vereinigt. Postoperativ zeigt sich bei guter Kontinenz ein zufrieden stellendes Ergebnis.

Abstract

Urethral duplication is a rare congenital anomaly with variable clinical presentation. A number of theories have been proposed to describe the embryology of the condition; the actual mechanism of the disorder is still unclear. We present a 2-year-old boy with complete urethral duplication and two functional sphincters. Functional and surgical results were satisfying with good continence.
