Zusammenfassung

Die lokalisierte Amyloidose des Ureters ist selten und führt aufgrund der differentialdiagnostisch schwierigen Abgrenzung zu anderen benignen oder malignen Raumforderungen der ableitenden Harnwege in einigen Fällen sogar zu einer unnötigen Nephroureterektomie. Wir beschreiben den Fall eines Patienten mit lokaler obstruierender Amyloidose des rechten Ureters und Diagnosesicherung mittels endoskopischer Biopsie. Der Patient wurde erfolgreich durch Ureterteilresektion und Harnleiterneuimplantation therapiert. Hinweise für eine systemische Manifestation der Amyloidose oder ein Lokalrezidiv fanden sich bei einer Nachbeobachtungszeit von 2 Jahren nicht.

Abstract

Localized amyloidosis of the ureter is a rare condition. Because of the difficulty in differentiating between localized amyloidosis and an obstruction due to other benign or malignant conditions of the urinary tract, in some cases even an unnecessary nephroureterectomy is performed. We describe a patient with obstructive amyloidosis of the right ureter. Diagnosis was confirmed by endoscopy with biopsies. The patient was treated successfully by partial ureterectomy and ureteroneocystostomy. No systemic involvement of other organs was detected and after a 2-year follow-up no local recurrence developed.
