Zusammenfassung

Bei bis zu 30.000 mit Karotisstenosen assoziierten ischämischen Schlaganfällen pro Jahr in Deutschland stellt sich die Frage nach der adäquaten Behandlung. Dieser Artikel dient dem Überblick über die leitliniengerechte Diagnostik und Therapie der Karotisstenose.

Abstract

Up to 30,000 cases of ischemic stroke associated with carotid stenoses occur each year in Germany which raises the question of an adequate treatment. This article presents a review of the guideline-conform diagnostics and therapy of carotid stenosis.
