Traumatische Aortenruptur bei ankylosierender Spondylitis – eine letale Komplikation

Wirbelfrakturen bei Patienten mit ankylosierender Spondylitis (M. Strümpell-Marie-Bechterew) sind aufgrund der hohen Morbidität und Mortalität eine gefürchtete Komplikation. Wir berichten über eine Patientin mit Hyperextensionsfraktur der Lendenwirbelsäule sowie Begleitverletzung der Aorta und V. cava.

Abstract

Fractures of the spine represent a severe complication particularly in patients with ankylosing spondylitis because of high morbidity and mortality. We report on a patient with a hyperextension fracture of the lumbar spine, leading to disruption of the aorta and caval vein.
