Weibliche Identitätsfindung zwischen Provokation und Weigerung Entwicklungspsychologische und soziokulturelle Aspekte von Eßstörungen

Zusammenfassung

Die Adoleszenz stellt für die meisten Jugendlichen eine Reifungskrise im Entwicklungsprozeß dar. Manche Jugendlichen gelangen bei der Bewältigung dieser Entwicklungsphase an Grenzen. Besonders junge Frauen neigen dazu, ihre psychosoziale Überforderung in Form von psychischen und/oder psychosomatischen Symptomen auszudrücken. In westlichen Industrie- und Überflußgesellschaften entwickeln Frauen zunehmend häufiger Symptome einer Eßstörung. Diese haben wie andere Somatisierungsstörungen und psychosomatischen Erkrankungen eine multifaktorielle Genese. Biologische, intrapsychische und interpersonelle Faktoren sowie soziokulturelle Einflüsse spielen für die Ätiologie und Pathogenese im Einzelfall eine unterschiedliche Rolle. An 2 Fallbeispielen werden diese multifaktoriellen Aspekte dargestellt und diskutiert.

Summary

For most young people adolescence is a time of developmental crisis and is characterized by a struggle against limitations. Especially young women tend to express their inability to cope with the demands of this period by developing psychological and/or psychosomatic symptoms. In Western societies there is an increasing prevalence of eating disorders. Similar to other psychosomatic disorders eating disturbances have a multifactorial etiology. For each patient biological, intrapsychic und interpersonal factors as well as sociocultural aspects make their own contributions to the development of an eating disorder. The complex interactions of these different pathogenetic factors are illustrated by two case reports.
