Jugendmedizin in Deutschland

Zusammenfassung

Bis zum Ende des 20. Jh. erfolgte die Versorgung von Kindern und Jugendlichen durch „Kinderärzte“, in „Kinderarztpraxen“ und „Kinderkliniken“. Mit der Änderung der Weiterbildungsordnung der Bundesärztekammer vollzog sich die Fortentwicklung des Fachgebietes zum Facharzt für „Kinder- und Jugendmedizin“. Bei einer Analyse der Situation ist festzustellen, dass die Strukturen zwar neu benannt wurden, dass aber die inhaltliche Ausrichtung nicht immer dem Titel der Institution entspricht. Dies gilt in der gesamten Breite der jugendmedizinischen Versorgung. Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt die Kurzfassung einer Bestandsaufnahme, einschließlich vorgeschlagener Lösungsstrategien, zur Jugendmedizin in Deutschland dar, die die Kommission Jugendmedizin der Deutschen Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin (DAKJ) erstellt hat. Im Folgenden findet sich die ungekürzte Einführung; Teil 1 (Jugendmedizin in deutschen Kinderkliniken), Teil 2 (Jugendmedizin in der pädiatrischen Praxis), Teil 3 (Jugendmedizin in sozialpädiatrischen Zentren) und Teil 4 (Jugendmedizin im Öffentlichen Gesundheitsdienst) werden auf die wesentlichen Aspekte gekürzt, aber ohne inhaltliche Veränderung dargestellt.

Abstract

Up to the end of the twentieth century the care of children and adolescents was carried out by pediatricians in pediatric practices and pediatric clinics. With the change of the further training ordnance of the German Federal Medical Association the development of the discipline to medical specialist for pediatric and adolescent medicine was accomplished. An analysis of the situation ascertained that the structures were newly named but the orientation with respect to the contents did not always correspond to the title of the institution. This was true for the total spectrum of adolescent medical care. This article presents the abridged version of an inventory on adolescent medicine in Germany, including proposed solution strategies, which was compiled by the Committee on Adolescent Medicine of the German Academy for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (DAKJ). This includes the unabridged introduction; part 1 (adolescent medicine in German pediatric clinics), part 2 (adolescent medicine in pediatric practices), part 3 (adolescent medicine in social pediatric centers) and part 4 (adolescent medicine in the public healthcare service) are condensed to contain only the essential aspects but are presented without changes to the content.
