Interessenkonflikt. J. Dinger war Studienleiter zahlreicher epidemiologischer Studien; darunter Studien, die von Herstellern hormoneller Kontrazeptiva finanziert und von unabhängigen Gremien überwacht wurden. Er hat mit dem Erstautor der kommentierten Studie mehrere öffentliche Diskussionen über methodologische Probleme in epidemiologischen Studien geführt. S. Nitschmann gibt an, dass kein Interessenkonflikt besteht.
