Das adulte multilokuläre Rhabdomyom als Ursache einer Raumforderung im Halsbereich

Zusammenfassung

Echte Rhabdomyome zählen zu den seltensten Tumoren des menschlichen Körpers. Diese sehr langsam wachsenden und anfangs meist symptomlosen Tumoren sind gutartig und gehen von der Herz- oder Skelettmuskulatur aus. Extrakardiale Formen, welche bevorzugt im Kopf-Hals-Bereich auftreten, sind wesentlich seltener als kardiale Rhabdomyome. Multilokuläre Formen stellen eine Rarität dar.

Wir berichten über eine Patientin mit einem multilokulären adulten Rhabdomyom parapharyngeal und paratracheal. Die Raumforderung, welche durch eine einseitige Vorwölbung im Hypopharynx als Zufallsbefund auffiel, war bei Diagnosestellung im Wesentlichen symptomlos. Nach der histologischen Diagnosesicherung erfolgte die vollständige Exstirpation. Postoperativ traten keine funktionellen Störungen auf. Rezidive sind selten, jedoch möglich, so dass eine langfristige Nachbeobachtung empfohlen wird.

Abstract

Real rhabdomyomas belong to the rarest tumors in the human body. The origin of these benign neoplasms is in the cardiac or skeletal muscle. In the beginning, there are no significant symptoms and the tumor grows very slowly. Extracardiac rhabdomyomas seldom occur and are mostly located in the head and neck region. A multilocular occurrence represents a rarity.

We describe a 77-year-old female patient with a multilocular adult rhabdomyoma in the parapharyngeal and paratracheal space. The tumor was accidentally found; the patient had not complained of any specific symptoms. After histological examination, complete resection was carried out. On discharge the patient showed no functional deficits. Long-term follow-up is necessary because local recurrences have been described.
