Plattenepithelkarzinom in einer Gangzyste der Glandula submandibularis

Zusammenfassung

Plattenepithelkarzinome gehören zu den seltenen malignen Tumoren der Kopfspeicheldrüsen. Die präsentierte Kasuistik berichtet erstmals über die primäre Manifestation eines Plattenepithelkarzinoms in einer Gangzyste der Glandula submandibularis. Dargestellt werden die anamnestischen und klinischen Untersuchungsergebnisse sowie die histologischen und immunhistochemischen Befunde, und es werden die Differentialdiagnostik sowie die therapeutischen Möglichkeiten dieses seltenen malignen Tumors der Speicheldrüsen erörtert.

Abstract

Squamous cell carcinomas are rare malignant tumors of the major and minor salivary glands in the head region. This is the report of a squamous cell carcinoma within a cyst of the submandibular gland. Clinical, histological and immunohistochemical findings are presented, and the importance as well as the therapeutic strategy of this very rare malignant tumor of the salivary glands are discussed.
