Dermatologie und Internet – Nutzen für Klinik und Forschung

Zusammenfassung

Das Internet und das World Wide Web (WWW) ermöglichen neue Möglichkeiten der Informationsvermittlung und -verarbeitung, die auch die tägliche Arbeit des in Praxis, Klinik und Forschung tätigen Dermatologen wesentlich erleichtern werden. Bereits heute stehen zahlreiche, für Dermatologen interessante Informationen auf dem Internet zur Verfügung, die hier kurz vorgestellt werden. Besonders wird dabei auf den „Dermatologic Online Image Atlas (DOIA)” eingegangen, der von unserer Arbeitsgruppe entwickelt wurde und neue Möglichkeiten in der Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung bietet.

Summary

The Internet is about to become the most important source of information in virtually any academic profession. Dermatology has a growing presence in many areas of the Internet: discussion groups and continuing education programs invite regular participation, dermatologic data in the form of text and images provide support in daily clinical and scientific work. In this paper important sources of dermatologically relevant information on the Internet are given, and the Dermatologic Online Image Atlas (DOIA) which is available on the World Wide Web is introduced.
