Abstract
A 16-year-old female patient presented with progressive round and oval erosions with erythematous rims and central crusts which developed over a period of six weeks. They were mainly located on the trunk and extremities and caused burning pain. The clinical picture was consistent with pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta. Because the clinical involvement was so severe, we started systemic PUVA therapy. After a cumulative dose of 10 J/cm2, the lesions showed marked improvement.
