Amalgamdepositionen in einem gastralen Leiomyosarkom Fallbeschreibung einer ungewöhnlichen Amalgamkonstellation

Summary.

We report an a 57-year-old man with gastric leiomyosarcoma containing depositions of amalgam that possibly originate from a swallowed filling. The significance of this finding remains unclear. This case does not permit any conclusions as to whether this is a coincidence or not. The worldwide use of amalgam without an increase of oral sarcomas/leiomyosarcomas speaks against the supposition that amalgam induces sarcomas.

Zusammenfassung.

Wir berichten über einen 57 jährigen Patienten mit einem gastralen Leiomyosarkom, das Amalgamdepositionen enthielt, welche höchstwahrscheinlich von einer verschluckten Zahnfüllung stammten. Die Bedeutung dieses Befunds bleibt unklar. Aus der vorliegenden Fallbeschreibung läßt sich nicht zwingend schließen, ob es sich um einen Zufall handelt oder nicht. Die weltweite Applikation von Amalgam, welche nicht zu einer Häufung oraler Sarkome/Leiomyosarkome geführt hat, widerspricht der Annahme, daß Amalgam Sarkome verursacht.
