Professor Martin Zindler, ein Pionier der deutschen Anästhesiologie, vollendete am 28. April sein 80. Lebensjahr. Aus diesem Anlaß sollen einige der Eckpunkte seines verdienstvollen Wirkens für unser Fach hier noch einmal beleuchtet werden (vergleiche auch die ausführlichen Würdigungen zu seinem 60. und 70. Geburtstag in “Der Anaesthesist” 1980, 29:214 und 1990, 39:288).
