Abstract

Background: Perilunate dislocations are a rare but severe entity amongst wrist injuries. The treatment of choice in cases of chronic lunate dislocations is still under debate.

Case Study: An unusual case of chronic palmar lunate dislocation is reported which could be documented over almost 30 years.

Therapeutic Implications: Furthermore, the implications on current therapeutic concepts for the treatment of chronic palmar lunate dislocations are highlighted.
